Hardware: Dual PII 400MHz
          256MB RAM
          ncr53c895 SCSI card
          de4x5.c PCI ethernet card

gnudist is currently running a 2.0.36 kernel which resides in
/usr/local/src/linux/

The include-files are changed to allow for 16k files open at the
same time. If we change to a 2.2.x kernel we should remember to
change the number of files open again. Default in 2.2.x is only
4k files.
