PostGIS - Adds support for geographic objects to PostgreSQL
PostGIS adds support for geographic objects to the
PostgreSQL object-relational database. It "spatially enables" the
PostgreSQL server so it can be used as a backend spatial database for
geographic information systems (GIS).
